I don’t have all answers, don’t blame me for trying to find solutions, says Tinubu

Nigeria President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said his government cannot be blamed for not trying to find solutions to the economic crisis in the country.

Tinubu began consultations on the troubled economy by setting up a Tripartite Economic Advisory Committee at the State House, Abuja, on Sunday.

Among the top stakeholders present at the meeting are Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Tony Elumelu, Bismarck Rewane, Amina Maina (VP NESG), Boye Olusanya (Flour Mills) and Segun Ajayi-Kadir (DG MAN).

Speaking at the meeting Tinubu stated that Nigeria’s economy was close to recovery.

He pledged his government’s commitment to coming up with the best economic policy for the nation.

“We are not saying that we have all the answers. But we will not be blamed for not trying. We assure Nigerians that we will do our best to get our Marshall plan in place and fashion out the best economic future for this country,” Tinubu said.

“We’re looking for additional efforts that might help the downtrodden Nigerians and we will provide that hope and reassurance that economic recovery is on its way.”

Tinubu urged the country to focus at what is being done right and also what the country is doing wrong to bring life back to the economy.

“Like I said, many times, the people of this country are only the people who we have to please,” Tinubu said.
