Olamide shed light on the situation. He said, “I said probably my last album. I hate the pressure that comes with making an album.”

His response hints at the intense expectations associated with full-length album releases.

Especially because he is a well-respected lyricist and he mentors upcoming newer artistes like Fireboy DML and Asake.

Furthermore, he seems to be on the fence about the possibility of fans expecting more music from him. But with the release of his latest EP, Ikigai, it seems Olamide has more in store for his fans.

He went on to answer questions that fans asked in the AskOlamide session on X. Responding to a fan with the handle, @Yekingston on X, who asked if the public should be expecting more from him, the musician replied that they should. He declared the summer a “YBNL” summer and hinted at upcoming projects for his label signees, Fireboy DML and Asake. YBNL, short for Yahoo Boy No Laptop, is an entertainment record label that was founded by Olamide.

Another fan with the handle @Pupa_Yemi asked Olamide what is his best collaboration with another artiste. Olamide replied by saying he enjoys making music with Fireboy, Ckay, and Asake.

A fan with the handle, @Ayam_Mckay on X asked when fans should be expecting another Olamide collaboration with Adekunle Gold. The rapper replied saying very soon. Adekunle Gold was signed under YBNL until he left the label in 2017.
