She earned her Ph.D. in Animal Physiology from the Federal University of Agriculture in Abeokuta, Nigeria, where she conducted groundbreaking research on improving fertility in West African Dwarf goats. Ibraheem is a distinguished animal scientist and physiologist specialising in reproductive physiology, with a remarkable career dedicated to farm animal reproduction.
Her doctoral thesis, completed with distinction, focused on the impact of Date Palm fruit extender on cryopreserved semen and its fertility in goats. Ibraheem’s expertise spans various aspects of animal reproduction, including breeding, semen collection and evaluation, estrus synchronization, artificial insemination, and pregnancy detection.
With over 10 years of experience, Ibraheem is a leader in enhancing livestock production sustainably. She is dedicated to advancing agricultural practices that benefit both animals and farmers, particularly in addressing challenges such as heat stress, climate change, and diseases. Her research focuses on assessing herbal condiments to preserve and extend semen, aiming to improve reproductive efficiency in farm animals.
Ibraheem’s recent study, published in Acta Scientific Veterinary Sciences, highlights the effects of Date Palm fruit extender on cryopreserved semen from West African Dwarf Goats.
