Acting Director-General of the Nigerian American Chamber of Commerce (NACC), Wofai Samuel, has described the recent inbound trade mission to Nigeria implemented by the Government of Illinois and supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a success that is starting to bear fruits.

The mission was aimed at promoting two-way trade between Nigeria and the State of Illinois, identifying sales representatives for goods, services, and products produced in Illinois; introducing goods, services, and products from the Illinois market to the Nigerian market and forming trade and business relationships with strategic persons across government, the United States Diplomatic Community and local business communities in Nigeria.

The market briefing by the commercial section of the United States Mission in Nigeria featured presentations from the Counselor for Commercial Affairs, Julie Marie-LeBlanc; Commercial Attache’, Blake Murray; Senior Commercial Specialist, Ngozi Nkwoh and  Commercial Specialist, Chamberlain Eke.

Speaking, Samuel marked the success of this trade mission as her biggest achievement as acting D.G. so far, stressing that they have in the past, succeeded with various outbound missions to the U.S. but were impressed with their inbound mission. Thanking the delegates for choosing Nigeria as one of their destinations for the missions, she reassured them of the chamber’s commitment to work with the businesses in various capacities directed at propelling their growth in-country.
