A new documentary sheds light on the remarkable journey of inDrive, a ride-hailing app that rose from a local initiative to become a global leader.

The documentary titled ‘Inner Drive’, which premiered in Lagos, offers a unique perspective on the company’s founding, core values and the positive impact it has had on communities worldwide.

The film features exclusive interviews with inDrive founder and CEO, Arsen Tomsky, along with stories from employees and individuals whose lives have been transformed by the app.

‘Inner Drive’ goes beyond a typical corporate documentary, delving into the human stories that fueled inDrive’s growth. It explores the company’s origin in Yakutsk, Russia, where residents teamed up to combat unfair taxi pricing during harsh winters.
The simple act of community resistance planted the seed for what would become a global movement for fair pricing and rider control.

Today, inDrive operates in over 700 cities across 46 countries, driven by a mission to empower individuals and reshape capitalism.

The documentary showcases how inDrive’s initiatives, like the ‘Beginit’ programme, are creating opportunities and improving lives, particularly for those facing economic hardship.

Directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, Dan McCain, and renowned editor Theo Papadoulakis, ‘Inner Drive’ celebrates the human spirit and the power of collective action.

The production team brings together their expertise in portraying everyday individuals overcoming challenges and achieving extraordinary things.
