Dr Adesuwa Urhoghide-Edigin who is the Medical Director Edo state hospitals management agency government Hospital Egba has been celebrated on international women’s day by the ministry of health Edo State alongside nine other women.
The State ministry of Health as part of activities to commemorate the 2024 IWD showered praises on 10 women for their leadership roles within the health ministry.
The Commissioner of Health, Dr Samuel Alli said in a statement made available to newsmen by the ministry, “On this International Women’s Day, the Ministry of Health proudly celebrates the remarkable women in leadership roles within our ministry. Their resilience, intelligence, and compassion set a standard of excellence, showcasing the undeniable value of female leadership in healthcare.
“Under the stewardship of our Honourable Commissioner of Health – Dr Samuel Alli, a fervent advocate for women’s empowerment, the Ministry has consistently championed the cause of women. We are deeply committed to fostering an environment where women’s contributions are recognized and their leadership potential is nurtured.
