Jibunoh to chair second anniversary, roundtable of FUPRE-Centre for Sustainable Development

A distinguished Global Environmentalist, the Dessert Warrior and Founder, FADE-Africa, Newton Jibunoh, is to chair the Federal University of Petroleum Resources-Centre for Sustainable Development second anniversary and roundtable.
  
According to a statement made available to The Guardian in Asaba, yesterday, and co-signed by, Centre Director, Dr. Emeka Elemike, Deputy Director and Green Activist, Deacon Okezi, and Director of Programme, Odugala Agboro, the day will also mark the United Nations World Earth Day with a Green Musical Concert to advocate for implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and for everyone to invest in planet earth by keeping it safe and clean.
 
The theme of this year’s roundtable is ‘Environmental Pollution: The Elephant In The Room’ with a lot of experts and stakeholders from government, civil society and private sector, who would be discussing and proffering solutions to environmental challenges confronting humanity to save the ecosystem for sustainable development. 
 
The statement said: “Some distinguished Nigerians, who are contributing positively to better society, will be honoured, and the event is slated for April 22 at the Nelson Mandela Gardens, Asaba International Airport, at 10:00 a.m. 
 
“There will also be a pre-event training and field trip for interested members of the public on plastic waste to wealth at the new state Secretariat, Asaba, on April 21, at 10:00 a.m.
