Joe Etoniru and Associate boss emerges REDAN Lagos Vice Chairman

The Chief Executive Officer of Joe Etoniru and Associates, a real estate brokerage firm, and JEA Projects, an innovative real estate development company, Dr. Chidiebere Etoniru, has emerged as the Lagos State Vice Chairman of The Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN).

Etoniru is a real estate entrepreneur and expert with over a decade of experience in real estate brokerage, facility management, valuation and property development.

He started his career as head of the facility management unit in Prime Atlantic Cegelec (PACE), an oil and gas company in Victoria Island, Lagos.

However, the election, conducted under the supervision of the Real Estate Developers Electoral Committee (REDECO) chaired by Omololu Bolarinwa, saw the South-West zone of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria electing 45 new executives into various positions across the six states in the zone, to run the affairs of its state chapters in the next four years.

The process of the concluded election for the REDAN South-West zone, being the largest zone of the association, was reported to be free, fair, and characterised by a high level of transparency, credibility, and accuracy.

Etoniru contested for the position alongside Dr. Tony Kolawole Aspire as Chairman, who has also been elected as the Lagos State Chairman of The Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN).

In his acceptance speech, Etoniru emphasized the noble nature of Redanites, likening them to the sun whose warmth benefits all, regardless of any resentment towards their shine.

He expressed his commitment to fostering an inclusive environment within REDAN and sought divine wisdom to guide the affairs of the institution.

In addition to his recent election, Etoniru’s leadership qualities are evident in his successful tenure as the CEO of Joe Etoniru and Associates and JEA Projects.

With a track record of excellence in real estate brokerage and development, he has demonstrated a keen understanding
of the industry and a dedication to driving progress.

Etoniru’s ascent to leadership was not handed to him; rather, it is the result of his hard work, perseverance, and the unwavering support of his followers, a fact he does not take for granted.

He also provided facility management services to Epsilon Estate, a subsidiary of C&M exchange limited. In 2012, he launched Joe Etoniru and Associates in Lagos State with a focus on real estate brokerage but has over the years systemically grown the operations to include property valuation, construction services, real estate advisory and property management services.

He is also the founder of JEA Projects which he launched in 2017 to meet the demand for contemporary smart homes in Nigeria that meet international standards.

A successful serial entrepreneur, the vice chairman has launched home moving, pest control and cleaning businesses to provide services across the real estate value chain.

Etoniru holds a Bachelor’s degree in Estate Management and a Masters in Facility Management both from the University of Lagos. He is a chartered Estate Surveyor and Valuer with the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV). He is also a member of the Certified Institute of Auctioneers.
