Johnny Drille returns with Palava

Johnny Drille

Nigerian singer-producer, John Ighodaro, professionally known as Johnny Drille, has made a comeback smash record dubbed, Palava. The upbeat pop banger sees the Benin-bred maestro serve an inspirational ode to survival, laced with his distinct vocals.

Produced by Mavin soundwhiz, Prestige, the record reverberates with a cocktail of ambient tunes, and a fast bounce that showcases Johnny Drille for the versatile maverick he is.

Interestingly, the song samples 2005 street-pop hit, Sample Ekwe, from Delta maestro Sunday Osakuni, professionally known as Original Stereoman.

In the record, Johnny Drille flips his regular RnB alto for an enjambing pop cadence that clears this record as an anthem for the dancefloors.

Following his 2022 release of his six-tracker EP, Home, the Mavin Records superstar has been on a singles-run, releasing seven songs last year. This new record is his second release this year following February’s love anthem, For You.

Palava is out across music streaming services.
