Joy Culture launched, set to redefine mental wellness, human performance


As part of efforts aimed at facilitating healing and stability of the citizenry, Joy Culture Enterprises, a hub geared towards transformative mental wellness and holistic performance, was recently launched in Lagos.

Speaking during the launch, Chief Executive Officer, Joy Culture Enterprises, Bolu Onasanya, said, “we are providing comprehensive mental wellness solutions. Our integrated approaches address the entirety of the human experience. These approaches are: neuroscience, psychiatry, psychology, emotional intelligence and occupational therapy.”

Describing the target audience as the active workforce, he disclosed that the primary goal is transformation through increased human performance.

Saying the focus is on holistic mental wellness and transcendental performance, with focus on occupational performance areas such as activities of daily living, work and productivity, leisure, rest and spirituality, he added, “our desired outcome is individuals who are flourishing in various aspects of their lives, not just economically.

“The wholeness greatly influences the quality of life of individuals as well as the height of result-oriented performance in corporate organisations.”

On his expectations after the launch, Onasanya noted that a free, but tenured programme for members of the public to enjoy mental wellness coaching, would be established.

Specifically, he added that interested persons would sign up on the website and receive constant coaching emails.

In addition, he said, “they are also able to have interaction with our coaches via mail. Subscribers enjoy confidentiality and expert approach to their issues, as well as solid referrals where needed. We also offer personalised and corporate coaching but these services are paid.”

Onasanya,however, stressed the need for government to partner with the mental wellness industry for a great impact on the quality of work and life of the workforce for change to happen.

A consummate authority in the domains of emotional intelligence, psychology, occupational therapy, and neuroscience, Onasanya is also a certified happiness life coach from the Transformation Academy, Florida, United States.

With a distinguished career as a writer, conference speaker, trainer, and renowned mental wellness expert, he brings a profound understanding of the intricacies of emotional well-being and psychological vitality to his practice.

Having bagged a degree in Medical Rehabilitation, with specialisation in Occupational Therapy from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, his academic journey laid the foundation for his expertise in the realms of psychiatry, human psychology, developmental psychology, and medical counseling.

As the visionary founder of Joyed Up, Bolu operates a multifaceted platform, employing various mediums, such as books, radio programmes, conferences, seminars, podcasts, and individual counseling, to propagate the twin ideals of Joy and Mental Wellness.
