The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Privatisation and former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu, has called on Nigerians to exercise patience with the federal government led by President Bola Tinubu.

Kalu emphasised that the Tinubu administration is enacting pragmatic and sustainable reforms aimed at the country’s ultimate development. He highlighted the necessity for both the citizenry and government at all levels to work in unison for the benefit of Nigeria.

In his goodwill message marking the one-year anniversary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration under President Tinubu, Kalu urged leaders to maintain continuous engagement with their constituents before, during, and after elections, and for politicians to adhere strictly to democratic principles.

“As we celebrate the one-year anniversary of President Bola Tinubu-led administration, it is important for Nigerians to sustain their support for the ongoing reforms across board. The country has a bright future but all hands must be on deck to complement the efforts of the federal government in repositioning the country,” said Kalu.

He stressed the federal government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and other vital projects to enhance the lives of Nigerians. Kalu called on leaders at all levels to maintain engagement with the public to ensure sustainable development. He underscored the importance of upholding the principles of democracy, such as probity, transparency, and accountability, to help Nigeria reach greater heights.

While congratulating President Tinubu, Vice-President Ibrahim Shettima, and other stakeholders, Kalu called on the political class to meet the expectations placed upon them in their various roles.
