Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has flagged off distribution of meat to 5,600 individuals across Kano State, courtesy of a Germany-based charitable organisation, HASENE, in collaboration with BARIS Foundation as part of their Eid-el-Kabir for the year 1445AH.

Launching the symbolic distribution at Bayero University Kano (BUK), the governor launched the benevolent act, foreseeing the upliftment of spirits among the countless individuals in need.

He charged the administrators and distributors to uphold justice and maintain a devout reverence for Allah, as well as ensure fulfilment of their entrusted responsibilities and realisation of the Kurban project’s objectives within the state.

The governor sought extension of the gesture to patients in hospital, inmates of care facilities, and destitute roaming the streets.

He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to partnering with any organisation willing to aid the populace in various aspects of life.

One of the sponsors from Germany, Muhammad Aydin, stated that their presence in Kano was to celebrate Edil-KaMuslim festival and share with the faithful to strengthen the bond of brotherhood.

He appreciated the hospitality extended to his team by the state government and its citizens.
