Katsina to host CIoTA North West Conference

Katsina State Governor, Umaru Dikko Radda, has announced that the state government will host the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration (CIoTA) North West Conference.


This was contained in a press statement signed by National Publicity Secretary CIoTA, Chinwe Uwaegbute.

The announcement comes after a visit from the institute’s President, Prince Segun Obayendo, who stressed the strong partnership between the state government and CIoTA.

During the visit, Governor Radda was honoured with an honorary fellowship by CIoTA, in recognition of his contributions to the transportation sector.

The CIoTA delegation, led by the president of the Institute, Prince Obayendo, which comprised Deputy President Umar Iya; Auditor General Aminu Muktar; National Publicity Secretary Uwaegbute; Registrar of the institute, Rasheed Aiyelabegan; and the North West Coordinator, Malam Haruna Musa, was warmly received by top government officials.


The government officials include Deputy Governor Farouk Jobe; Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Abdullahi Faskari; Chief of Staff Jabiru Tsauri; Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transportation, Dr. Sani Ingawa; Chairman House Committee on Transportation, Hon. Zahradeen Sani, and Special Adviser on Public Sector Reforms, Alhaji Usman Isiyaku, along with other dignitaries from the state.

The CIoTA North West Conference aims to bring together transportation experts, stakeholders, and policymakers to discuss practical solutions, best practices, and emerging trends in the industry.

The event is expected to showcase Katsina State’s achievements in transportation as well as the state’s potential for future growth.

The conference also promises to be a landmark event fostering collaboration and innovation in the transportation sector.
