Nigeria’s pop star, Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo, better known as Kcee, has set the music airwaves on fire with the release of his remix hit single, Ojapiano, featuring the globally celebrated band, OneRepublic.

Originally produced by Jaysynths, the groundbreaking record, a fusion of Amapiano and Igbo’s traditional flute, garnered immense praise for its blend of traditional Nigerian elements and contemporary music production.

The track’s infectious rhythm and Kcee’s captivating vocals resonated deeply with audiences, establishing him as a cultural icon in the music industry. Its signature rolling log drums harmonise with KCee’s smooth vocals, while the traditional flute (Oja) weaves through the vibrant percussions, showcasing both elegance and strength.


According to the Limpopo and Pull Over crooner, the decision to collaborate with OneRepublic reflects his vision of expanding the reach of African music on the global stage. He emphasised how Oja used in the song is gaining global recognition and fostering connections across continents.

The remix promises to elevate the record to new heights, blending the band’s international flair with the rich cultural heritage of Nigeria. The teaser has already generated significant buzz on social media, generating anticipation among fans worldwide.
