Kudus to miss Nigeria vs Ghana friendly game due to shoulder injury

West Ham United forward, Mohammed Kudus, is set to miss Ghana’s friendly game against Nigeria’s Super Eagles due to shoulder injury.

Kudus was included in new Black Stars head coach Otto Addo’s squad for the March international break but had to pull out.

According to 3Sports, the former Ajax star’s number 20 jersey has been handed to another player which confirms Kudus’ absence.

“Kudus is nursing a shoulder discomfort after last weekend’s Premier League game for West Ham against Aston Villa,” 3Sports quoted a close source to the Black Stars.

Kudus lasted the entire 90 minutes of West Ham’s game against Aston Villa but is believed to have complained of pain after the match.

On West Ham’s website, the 23-year-old was not listed as one of the players to go on the international break and will now stay in London to recover.

He missed Ghana’s first game against Cape Verde at the AFCON 2023 due to a tight hamstring.

He returned to the team in their second and third group games against Egypt and Mozambique.
