Lagos harps on conducive environment for businesses to thrive

Lagos State government has said it is committed to providing a conducive environment for businesses to thrive as harness the state’s tourism and entertainment potential to grow the state’s economy, especially through collaboration with the private sector.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Idris Aregbe, said this at the ongoing three-day Lagos Tourism Naija Brand Chick Trade Fair tagged:” buy, sale, network” holding in Ikeja, with aims to complete N5b transactions.

He said the state government under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is committed to ease of doing business and partnership, which is reflected in the Lagos Tourism Naija Brand Chick Trade Fair.

Aregbe also said the alliance with the brand is working and re-echoing that Lagos would continue to lead while making sure the government is supporting and positively engaging residents including ensuring that young people are keying in to the economic aspect of the state.

Also speaking, Executive Officer of NBC’s Trade Fair, Nelly Agbogu, said the partnership with Lagos State had been one of the best things that has happened over years to NBC as many vendors as well as small and medium scale enterprises were able to key in to the application to be part of the fair.

Similarly, the IyalajeOodua, Toyin Kolade, commended Lagos State government for creating enabling environment for business to thrive in the state.Kolade, a philanthropist, gave the commendation while fielding questions from newsmen at the ongoing three days Naija Brand Chick Tradefair at Ikeja.

Iyalaje Oodua also assured traders that the President Bola Tinubu’s administration would continue to work in tandem with its renewed hope agenda to address the challenges confronting them.

Kolade, noting that though the economic policies of the Federal Government may be harsh at the moment, expressed optimism of a better Nigeria after the reforms.
