Lagos State Government, yesterday, said that the test-run of the Red Line Rail project would commence next week.
The state’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, revealed this during a media briefing to announce activities lined up for the yearly ministerial briefing to mark the fifth year in office of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
According to Omotoso, after the initial test-run of no passengers, residents and stakeholders would be invited to experience a free ride on the train in preparation for commercial operation services.
The commissioner said that updates would be provided by government officials on all the projects executed by the Sanwo-Olu-led administration and residents would surely be proud of the administration with the information that would be provided.
According to him, some of the completed projects would be commissioned to mark the anniversary of the governor in office.
He said that all the commissioners and special advisers that would be addressing the media are fully prepared and well abreast of all the issues to respond to media inquiries.
