Women-Owned Businesses

Landmark Africa, the most visited business, leisure, and lifestyle destination on the West African Coast, is leading inclusion in Nigeria’s real estate and business space by providing unlimited access and opportunities to female entrepreneurs, empowering them to thrive and contribute to its vibrant ecosystem.

Available data from the organisation reveals that an impressive 40 per cent of leisure and lifestyle businesses operating within the Landmark ecosystem are owned by women, demonstrating the company’s commitment to democratising access to wealth, irrespective of gender.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Landmark Africa, Paul Onwuanibe, said: “At Landmark, we believe that diversity is a strength that businesses can leverage to deliver incredible results. This is backed by data from our operations, spanning over seven distinct but interdependent businesses within the real estate, tourism and hospitality industries.

“Female entrepreneurs within our ecosystem have undoubtedly increased our revenues, underscoring the importance of providing viable platforms to engage women in all spheres of the economy.”

Also, Chief Legal Officer, Landmark Africa, Ada Nwanze, added: “With a real estate portfolio spanning over 220,000 square metres of mixed-use office, leisure, and residential spaces, Landmark Africa has established itself as an icon of innovation, showcasing the limitless possibilities and economic advancement inherent in the hospitality and tourism industry in Nigeria. Through its holistic approach to real estate, Landmark Africa not only provides top-tier facilities that attracts both local and international business and tourism visitors, but also cultivates an environment where economic activities can thrive.

“The success of female entrepreneurs within Landmark’s ecosystem is a commitment to the company’s efforts to break down barriers and empower women to pursue their business ventures. Through access to property, business spaces and business support services, Landmark Africa provides the necessary resources and support to enable female entrepreneurs to succeed.”

“We are proud to be part of an organisation where diversity thrives and where women are given the platform to excel. We believe that the more women are economically-empowered, the more communities can be lifted to a higher standard of living.

“By championing female entrepreneurship, we not only drive economic growth but also create a more inclusive and equitable society for all. We hope to inspire other organisations and pave the way for a more inclusive future, as the world celebrates International Women’s Day in the coming days.”

In line with this year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Inspire Inclusion,” Landmark continues to strive to promote diversity and inclusion across all its business operations.
