LASPAGA still operating in Lagos, says agency

The management of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Administrators (LASPAGA) has denied reports that the agency has stopped operating in the state.

It described such reports as ‘false and misleading’, adding that members of the public should be wary of those who want to cause violence in the parks and garages.

Addressing a press conference on Friday in Lagos, Secretary of LASPAGA, Alhaji Olamilekan Amusan, noted that the agency under the leadership of Alhaji Suleiman Raji, the Oniba of Iba, remains in full operations in line with the regulations of the state government.

He said: “It has become imperative for LASPAGA to clear the air on rumours, misinformation and false claims going around in some media outlets that the operations of the committee have been purportedly terminated.

“This is to inform our members and operators in all our designated parks across the state to disregard the fake news and continue with their lawful operations as the committee remains in full operations in Lagos State.

“We call on our members and operators to ignore any provocation by purveyors of this fake news and their agents. The Lagos State Parks and Garages Administrators as a transport organisation in Lagos remains a law-abiding and peaceful organisation.”

Amusan reiterated the organisation’s commitment to the welfare and safety of it members across the state.
