Fast-rising Abuja-based rapper, Laxy-BBK, is back with an electrifying new bop dubbed, For My Opps. Kicking off the year with this exciting release, the Coincidence Music frontman joins the league of rappers commemorating Hip Hop’s golden jubilee around this time.
Produced by industry gurus Afroselecta-BBK, Detailmadeit, Ucee and XL, respectively, the song sees Laxy BBK speak on surviving in life and being courageous in the face of opposition, as he gently drifts over soft Afro Drill sonics.
Born Daniel Baba-Bikoi, Laxy-BBK is a member of the Coincidence Music Group in Abuja, hip-hop’s newest headquarters in Nigeria. Notable for his fusion-focused tape, AfroBionic, as well as collaborative records with Odumodublvck, as well as his producer brother, Afroselecta-BBK.
“We’re coming for the top spot, this year,” Laxy-BBK tells Weekend Beats. “Hip Hop just turned 50, and we’re the ones at the frontline now, so it’s more releases and more push all the way.”
