It is the duty of leaders, particularly within West Africa, to give their people the best with available resources, President Muhammadu Buhari has declared.

President Buhari spoke at the State House, Abuja, while receiving the outgoing Ambassador of Burkina Faso, Piabie Firmin Gregoire N’do, who represented his country for eight years.

“Leaders should do the best for their people within the limits of resources,” the President asserted, adding that he hoped the outgoing envoy would use experiences garnered in the field for decision-making in his country.

N’do expressed the good wishes of his country and of himself to Nigeria, commending President Buhari for good diplomacy, which has seen Nigerians leading many international organisations.

He equally expressed appreciation for different support from Nigeria to Burkina Faso during the flooding crisis, the general elections, and at many other critical times.

While he admitted enjoying his stay in Nigeria, where he had his last daughter, Buhari jocularly asked if he gave his daughter Nigerian name.
