Lepnaan needs N15m for heart surgery

Five-year-old Lepnaan Dalyop Dakat, who is suffering from a cyanotic congenital heart disorder with pulmonary hypertension, is urgently in need of N15m to undergo surgery in India.


Lepnaan’s parents, Tongdat Dakat, and, Blessing Dakat, explained that the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), where the disorder was diagnosed, said the N15m was needed to cover hospital charges, surgical procedure, travel expenses, accommodation for four weeks in India and other post-surgery investigations.

According them, they have tried to raise the money to no avail, disclosing that they have so far received financial support from charitable people to the tune of N1,474,260.

Mr. Bizuum Yadok, who has been helping the family to mobilise funds for the surgery, said that family was seriously in need of donations from philanthropists, foundations and eminent personalities towards saving the life of the little girl.
