Mrs Daniel
We all know the story of Daniel in the bible and how he was involuntarily thrown into a lion’s den. But, in the case of Myah Autry, this happened on free will. Autry shot to notoriety after climbing into a lion’s enclosure at a zoo in the Bronx, New Jersey. She danced in front of the creature and taunted him, but managed to escape unscathed. Giving this victory, she told reporters that she is, in fact, a reincarnated lion while en route to appear in court for a shoplifting charge in New Jersey. Well, it’s Goodluck to you from here.

It’s OluwaBurna
It has indeed been a great year for Burna Boy as he continues his reign of local and international dominance. The ‘Anybody’ crooner added another feature to his cap after he became somebody to be reckoned with after clinching the ‘Best African Act’ at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Spain edging out several other notable talents like Teni the Entertainer, Toofan, Prince Kaybee, Nasty C and Harmonize, this win makes him join an exclusive list of Nigerian superstars, 2Baba Idibia, D’Banj, Tiwa Savage and Davido who have won the much-coveted international honour.

Piercing the Lion’s heart
The curtains have fallen on Nigeria’s hope of earning its first Oscars nomination at the Oscars 2020 following the Academy’s disqualification of Nigeria’s submission Lionheart. Lionheart which is Genevieve Nnaji’s first directional debut was submitted to race alongside 92 other films in the Best International Feature Film category. However, in an email sent to voters on Monday, the Academy announced that “Lionheart” was ineligible because of its excessive use of the English language which violates the Academy’s rule for entries into the Best International Feature category. This announcement angered a lot of celebrities around the world including Ava DeVarnay.
