Boy Tortured By Grindr Date During First Meeting Off The App

A teenager who was reportedly tortured, stabbed, and strangled during a gruesome attack by his Grindr date has raised more than $100,000 after losing the use of his hands.

Holden White, 18, was mercilessly beaten after he reportedly met his attacker through the dating app on June 20 last year.

During the violence, he is said to have suffered stab wounds to the neck, a blow to the back of the head as well as deep cuts to his wrist, after meeting up for a first date with 19-year-old Chance Seneca.

It has been reported that the pair had spoken on Grindr for more than a month before meeting in person.

Recalling his ordeal, White, who is from Lafayette, in Louisiana, US, according to the Mirror Online said that there had been no red flags at first.

He said:

Everything seemed fine. Nothing seemed weird, and we decided after a month of talking we should like to meet.

He said Seneca picked him up for the date last June and the pair went over to his house where they started playing video games in a bedroom, but events soon changed when Seneca left the room to get something.

On his return, the station reports, Holden’s attacker strangled him from behind using a cord and he struggled before blacking out, finding himself naked in a bathtub when he came to.

He reportedly said he remembered coming to covered in blood with his wrist being sliced open, and his attacker watching him.

After losing consciousness the police were said to have been called and the teenager was taken to hospital where he fell into a coma for three days.

It was said that his wrists had been cut so deeply the man’s hands were ‘nearly sawn off.’

A fundraiser launched by his sister Faith Roussel to support her brother’s ongoing recovery from his injuries has amassed a staggering $100,000.

She said: “Holden does not have the use of his hands; therefore, he needs support 24/7.”

She described her brother as ‘the most loving and caring person on Earth’ who is ‘an optimistic and strong young man’ as well as a ‘proud member and advocate of the LGBTQ community.’

Unfortunately, Holden fell victim to what the family believes is a hate crime on June 20th, 2020, at around 11 pm. Holden was lured to the residence of another young man. This young man proceeded to physically torture and harm Holden for several hours until authorities arrived on the scene. The culprit physically hurt Holden in unspeakable ways. Holden has severe lacerations to both wrists, stab wounds, and lacerations to his neck and was found unconscious. He will need intense physical therapy, emotional therapy, many prayers, and love. Any donations towards Holden’s recovery would be much appreciated; he has a long road of healing ahead of him.
