Breakdown Of Happenings This Week

Shocking incidents were the order of the week as people’s intentions were revealed in full blast. As people around the world brace themselves for the unfolding events, the importance of unity and national security is gradually coming to light.

Here is a rundown of the week:

A tale of the Green Passport
The colour green is associated with good tidings. However, this might not be the same for Nigeria’s passport. Japan passport has been adjudged, for the third time, as the world’s most powerful passport in the Henley Passport Index while Nigeria’s green passport falls at 95. Interestingly, Japan tops the list thanks to the impressive number of countries it offers access to visa-free or where it’s possible to get a visa on arrival: 191. Meanwhile, Nigeria falls below Angola, Cameroon, Djibouti, Liberia, and Congo to mention a few. Oh well! Considering other options yet?

Desperate measures
One fine morning, a 20-year-old social media model Kaylen Ward, who had been thinking about what she’d do to help victims of the Australian wildfire decided to raise money by selling her nudes to anyone who’d donate more than $10. Her strategy worked. Less than a week later, she had raised an estimated $1 million. Ward who is known on Twitter as “The Naked Philanthropist” has said that she would donate the money to charity organisations listed alongside her tweet. Recall that before her action, over 1 billion animals had been killed by the wildfire.

“New year, new vision”
Chris Omashola, a controversial apostle, has a message for musicians. He claims that embattled sexual predator R.Kelly will be out of prison. However, he has no idea how God did not reveal that to him. In addition to this, the apostle who was recently enmeshed in a sex scandal referred to Naira Marley as ‘satanic and a demon’, called on him to repent and advised youths to desist from calling themselves Marlians as it is demonic. Wizkid was also advised to ignore social media attacks that will come his way in 2020.
*Shriek! If you still identify as a Marlian, please step aside.*

Most prolific what???
A Leeds PhD dropout, Reynard Sinaga, who has been described as the UK’s “most prolific rapist” and possibly “in the world”, was sentenced to a minimum of 30 years in prison at the Manchester Crown Court. Across four separate trials, Sinaga was found guilty of 136 counts of rape, 14 counts of sexual assault among others against a total of 48 victims between the ages of 17 and 36. Sinaga explained that he would wait for men leaving clubs and bars before leading them to his flat.
Following the sentencing, Ian Rushton, from the Crown Prosecution Service, noted that Sinaga had an “extreme sense of sexual entitlement almost defies belief.”

The return of the zombies
56-year-old British astronaut Dr. Helen Sharman has said “there’s no two ways” that aliens exist and that it’s possible “we simply can’t see them.” In a chat with Observer Magazine, Dr. Sharman who is the first British astronaut to go into space claims that aliens exist and it is even possible they are living among us on earth. The chemist is one of the researchers and youngest people to enter orbit after she spent eight days as a researcher on a space mission. Guard your space, your neighbour might just be one.
