Victor James

Comrade Victor James, a major political figure of the Annang ethnic group in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria where he serves as the National President of Niger Delta Youth Association (NDYA); a non-militia advocacy group has said that President Muhammadu Buhari should ensure the Sani Abacha loot is used to develop the Ogoni kingdom.

He believes that this will prove that the Buhari-led administration is genuine and a fulfilment of his first term agenda.

Comrade James further adds that the money should be used for Ogoni clean up ibecause the money was stolen from the Niger Delta oil where Ken Saro Wiwa belongs. Using the Abacha loot for Ogoni’s cleanup will therefore be a sign of respect for Ken and others who were executed by hanging during the Sani Abacha regime.

Comrade Victor James aim is to advance the cause of human rights while demanding accountability and development in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. James want to see the environment conserved in the Niger Delta region. And the families of those who were executed by hanging under the regime of Gen Sani Abacha compensated including all the affected community in the Niger Delta region.
