Veteran Nigerian entertainer John Asiemo better known as Daddy Showkey in an Instagram live chat with a friend has recalled how close friends abandoned him during his time of need.

The singer disclosed that after he had an accident that made him relocate to Warri and start his life over, his friends weren’t there to support him.

According to him, the accident occurred in 2007 when his car ran under a trailer on his way back from fellow singer Olu Maintain’s birthday part.

He goes on to reveal that the accident had him in the hospital for three years and he was unable to work.

He said:

“When I came back from abroad, the doctor advised me to stop dancing and singing,” he said.

He added in pidgin English that those whom he used to dash millions of naira when they visited him had their gatemen lock gates on him. He said:

“When I come back, the people wen go come meet me, I go dash the millions, when I go their house, them go tell their gateman make them lock gate, make the gateman tell me say dem nor dey.”
