Dimi Keye Melts Hearts With Vibe Sessions
FAST-rising Afro-RnB singer, Dimeji Ogaosun, professionally known as Dimi Keye has dropped a soul-stirring extended playlist dubbed, Vibe Sessions.
And within this 5-track EP, the young singer project delves deeper into intimate love plains, creating his strongest body of work so far.
With three stellar features from prominent vocalists Nitah, Sai, and Eze, respectively, Dimi Keye creates a soothing, bouncy vibe with the playlist. He extends the groove which he began with his debut EP dubbed, Afrocentric. In Vibe Sessions, Dimi Keye creates a potpourri of Afro-fusion sounds that scream his audacity at breaking into an industry laden with monotony, with his own distinctiveness.
In a chat with Guardian Music, the computer information systems graduate explains that for him music making was an extension of his life, his style, and his ambitions.
“I have been into music since I was 11 years old but professionally started my music career in 2020. I am a very simple person who just wants to sing and be heard globally. I basically was born into a family that loves music. My sister started composing songs way before I started and she is just beautifully talented. I started out composing RnB songs. I also used to rap in secondary school, but at some point, I just fell in love with Afro-beats. Over the years I have been sharpening my craft and observing how the music and industry works.
“On this project, I wanted to show my range and talk about my experience as a young African dishing out stories of love and good vibes. It includes mellow, mid-tempo and upbeat sounds. As an Eccentric African, this EP projects my style and range. Afrocentric is set to blow your mind, give you nothing but positive vibes because that is me, I am all positive vibes and energy.”
Vibe Sessions is an intriguing sophomore for the blooming artiste, moreso as it was recorded and released barely six months after the singer’s enigmatic debut. With a high replay value, and soothing groove, it is utterly difficult to find any problem spots on this EP.
