Disney sequel Aladdin, according to sources, will possibly feature Dywane Johnson.

The 2019 film featured Will Smith as the mystical Genie but according to unofficial sources, Disney has commenced talks with Dwayne popularly known as ‘The Rock’ Johnson to play the mystical Genie. The speculated talks with Johnson appear to be Disney’s attempt at damage control.

Since the Oscars slap, projects involving the actor Will Smith has either been cancelled or postponed. 

At its release, Disney’s Aladdin earned $1 billion in the box office. 

In the past, The Rock has played Maui in the 2016 Disney film Moana.
