Dog Who Wants To Run For Governor Denied
A dog, Angus Woolley, wants to contest in the governor race in Kansas in the United States.
According to the dog’s owner, Terran Woolley, and his wife who also serves as the campaigner and treasurer respectively, Wolley is a Republican and is running on the grounds that there is no age limit for those who want to run for governor. They told CNN that they were inspired by the six teenagers who intend to run for governor this November. Since Woolley is 23 [2 years of dog age], they deem it fit for him to run.

A part of his agenda is to “I promise soft couches, Tempurpedic beds, free for life universal chuck it ball supplies, and a completely anti-squirrel agenda”. His owner also added, “I basically said I’d have to get him [Angus] a gun, he’ll have to be anti-abortion and a staunch conservative, even though he’ll cut taxes and spend more money than any governor ever”
Meanwhile, Samantha Poetter who spoke on behalf of the Kansas Secretary of State Office told CNN that “Kansas statute and the Kansas Constitution make repeated references to a person being Governor…Nor can a dog carry out the statutory and constitutional duties required of a Governor.”
