Armed with enthusiasm and confident in her abilities, Emee Freda, a promising performing artiste, knocked on the doors of MTN Project Fame, NB Plc’s Star Quest and Nigeria’s Got Talent.

Although she didn’t get the desired break, her spirit was not broken. She kept moving forward until her first album titled, God of Bad Boys and Girls got attention of an influential few who love her Reggae vibes.

As the Nigerian Reggae Music Festival is set to go live between November 11 and 13, at the Trade Fair Motel, FESTAC-Lagos, one of the promising artistes that the crowd is looking forward to is the effervescent Emee Freda and her band, Planet 9.

Emee recently signed a two-year contract for promotion and sundry management activities with the organisers of the Nigerian Reggae Music Festival, Music Awake Africa Foundation, managed by Prince Emeka Ojukwu.

Eager to showcase her performance before a critical audience, Freda is excited at the opportunity to perform at the Nigerian Reggae Festival with her band, Planet 9. This is really a major step for the singer as this affiliation with Music Africa Awake will launch her career in the right direction; giving her the necessary support as a rising independent artiste. These include playing major roles in her career by organising tours and funding her musical concerts, which will be tagged, EmeeFreda and Friends.

The Nigerian Reggae Music Festival will showcase the talents of artistes such as Daddy West, Mr. Xto and Jethro Sheeran.
