Just as predicted that artists who performed at the Super Bowl halftime would thrive on the wings of its success, Eminem has made history by becoming the artiste with the highest gold and platinum certified singles.

This was made known by the Recording Industry Of America (RIAA) in charge of collating music accomplishments, declaring the 73.5 million new gold and platinum certificate for the ‘Lose Yourself’ singer.

The chairman of RIAA says “These awards recognize Eminem’s unflinching commitment to his craft and the enduring connection he has forged with fans over the last twenty years. With today’s announcement, Eminem becomes the top certified singles artist in our program’s history and adds a rare third Diamond Album to his many creative accomplishments. Congratulations to Eminem and his entire label team who have set the bar higher than ever!”

This historical making event sets him as the the number one musician to be awarded for the singles category in all forms of genre.

This win makes Eminem’s award to the total of 227.5 million adding up his 166 million single that are certified and 61.5 million album certified.
