HP Spectre Is The World’s Thinnest Laptop

It is not every day we see beautiful slim things. HP has launched the new Spectre notebook dubbed as the world’s thinnest laptop. This laptop puts the Apple MacBook to shame when it comes to its thickness (and yes, I am a Macbook believer). It is a 10.4mm thick device (Apple’s iconic MacBook Air is 17mm thick) that features a 13.3-inch screen, Intel core i5 or i7 process and Bang & Olufsen speakers!

With Spectre 13.3, you also get a hybrid battery that splits into thin pieces and powered to last for about nine and a half hours, asides that you have a Gorilla Glass screen as well as three USB-C ports.

Wondering how much this laptop weighs? Just 2.45lbs (I am tempted to add “Kpere”)

*coughs* To the part some of you have been waiting for. The Spectre notebook will be priced at $1,170 (N234,000 @ N200 exchange rate) depending on your preference. See the full specs below.

  • A carbon fiber bottom creates a thin profile that is both durable and lightweight, keeping the total weight of the notebook at just 2.45 pounds.
  • High gloss copper accents reflect a hand-polished, jewelry-like finish and an innovative hidden piston hinge create the illusion of a hinge-less design to offer an unmatched premium look-and-feel.
  • Full HD IPS edge-to-edge display featuring Corning® Gorilla® delivers a superb viewing experience for editing photos, perfecting a presentation, or watching a movie.
  • 6th generation Intel® Core™ i5 and i7 processors and a lightning fast PCIe SSD with storage up to 512 GB with up to 8 GB of memory for maximum performance. Integration of Intel® hyperbaric cooling system keeps the machine running cool even with powerful processors in a small package.
  • An innovative hybrid battery split into two thinner pieces delivers the same wattage as a single battery for up to 9 and half hours of battery life while enabling the world’s thinnest laptop.
  • Stereo speakers by Bang & Olufsen with HP Audio Boost technology, a combination of hardware and software to give customers the depth they want.
  • Three full function USB Type-C™ connectors, including two of which support Thunderbolt™, to provide a fast, versatile I/O connection.

As seen on the images, HP will now feature a new logo on their premium product and according to sources, the logo was rejected 5 years ago.

The next time you see this logo, just know that it is a premium HP product.
