Award-winning actor, Octavia Spencer is set to play the role of a black self-made millionaire and hair mogul, Madam C.J Walker (real names: Sarah Breedlove).
The series will show on Netflix as an eight-episode drama.
The series is based on the book On Her Own Ground written by A’Lelia Bundles.
The drama will reveal Walker’s journey of turmoil and successes and how she achieved her status-quo.
A release date has not been announced.
