Nollywood actress, director and film producer, Funke Akindele, has revealed her struggle and dedication with throwback photos over the years.
She shared this via her Instagram account on Thursday, March 27, 2025. In her heartfelt post, she emphasised the hard work and hustle that paved the way for her success.
“My journey to success wasn’t always pretty, but it was worth it! I’m proud to have come from a place of hustle and hard work, and I really hope to inspire the young creatives out there to keep pushing forward,” she wrote.

Akindele, who gained fame through her breakout role in I Need to Know, has since become a household name with her hit series Jenifa’s Diary.
She recalled the challenges she faced while filming The Return of Jenifa and Omo Ghetto, both of which were pivotal in skyrocketing her career and showcasing her talent. Akindele has received several accolades, including the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award for Best Actress and the Best Actress award at the 2016 Nigerian Entertainment Awards, highlighting her impact on the industry.
