The Canada-based music act also disclosed that with his talent and experience, he has the capacity to be the best in the ever-growing Nigerian music industry.

The artiste, who has been writing music since the age of twelve, noted that music has been a constant part of his life.

John Donbilly was born in Nigeria, where he found his passion for music at a young age. Growing up, he was exposed to a diverse genre of music, including Afrobeats, Highlife, Hip Hop, and R&B, among others. After developing his skills as a songwriter, singer, and rapper, he ultimately relocated to Canada in order to pursue a career in the music industry there.

John Donbilly says he would bring a new type of dynamism to the Afro-music industry and give many established acts a run for their money.

“I see myself on the biggest stage, doing music for not just Nigeria but for the world, doing collaborations with the finest in the industry and winning awards,” he stated.

“I want to be remembered for making good music and changing lives with my brand of music. I want to be mentioned in the region of some of the greatest artists like Fela, Sunny Ade and so on. I want to be the best and make my country proud,” he added.

Donbilly has always lent his voice and opinion on things in Nigeria though he isn’t present that makes it look like he never left.

Talking about the highlight of his career, John Billy said he fell in love with music from a very tender age and that, all he wanted was to excel in the craft.

“Music is my life, this is all I wanted to do from my childhood. I feel like it is my destiny to do music. Every time I try to run away from doing music, I see myself even singing and composing music unknowingly.

“My interest in music started when I was just 15 years old. So professionally, this is my 14 years of being in the music industry. And over this period, I have learnt a lot about the craft. I can boast now that I am the next big name in the music industry. I just want to tell my fans all over the world to keep supporting me and keep listening to my music,” he said.

Since moving to Canada, John Donbilly has established himself as a prominent figure in the country’s music scene.

His music is a mix of African and Western sounds, combining traditional African rhythms with modern beats and melodies. His sound is a combination of African and Western sounds. His compositions are frequently introspective, delving into topics such as love, heartbreak, and the process of coming into one’s own.

The new extended play (EP) by John Donbilly is titled “The Journey,” and it is his most ambitious endeavor to date. The EP is a reflection of John Donbilly’s own journey as an artist, from his humble beginnings in Nigeria to his current success in Canada.
