According to the Wall Street Journal report on Tuesday, the photo and video sharing app Instagram is considering adding a new feature that will allow its users post long-form videos.

This new feature will allow the upload of videos with an hour length as opposed to the present maximum length of one minute and will focus on vertical video as insiders from the company told the newspaper.

The journal has reported conversations between Instagram, content creators and publishers in recent weeks about producing long-form videos for the platform. Another source says the feature if it launches, will do so within the Instagram app.

Instagram which was Launched in 2010 by Stanford University graduates Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, has grown through the years from a photo-sharing site into a popular photo app with over 800 million users.

The Instagram app, which was bought in 2013 by Facebook, has since been introducing popular snapchat features into the app and this effort has paid off. The social media giant in November counted 300million daily active people using the Instagram story feature, which allows users post series of photos and videos that disappear after 24hours.

You do not have to worry about cutting your long videos before posting on Instagram anymore with this feature.

Thank you, Instagram!
