“Kelly, can you handle this? Michelle, can you handle this? Beyonce, can you handle this? I don’t think they can handle this.”

These were the opening lyrics to Destiny Chid’s 2002 hit song “Bootylicious” and the wordings are proving right as it appears fans can’t handle their forces.

The trio of Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams that made up the disbanded girl group Destiny’s Child may be gearing up for a Bootylicious Destiny’s Child reunion.

The band, who shot to fame in 1999 with the breakthrough album “The Writing’s On The Wall”, are understood to be in talks, planning gigs and recordings for when the pandemic is over.

A source that spoke with The Mirror said:

“There have been tentative talks between all three.

“They’ve always said they would get back together one day when the time is right – and there is no time like the present.

“Nothing has been signed off yet, but as soon as a vaccine is ready and the pandemic is over, watch out for an announcement. It would really lift fans’ spirits.”

Considered one of the most successful girl groups of all time, Destiny’s Child has sold over 60 million records worldwide and has smash hits such as “Say My Name,” “Bootylicious,” “Survivor” and “Bills, Bills, Bills” to their names.

The group that was formed in 1990 split in 2006 but to perform together at the NFL Super Bowl in 2013 and the Coachella festival in 2018.

Speaking about a full-on comeback, 38-year-old Beyonce said:

She said: “I will say, we have made incredible music in the past, and I don’t know… Can we, like, have surprises in this day and age?

“I mean, I’m just saying. I just find it so interesting, everybody wants to know in advance.”

Beyonce’s dad Mathew Knowles said before lockdown, that the band would collaborate this year, the 30th anniversary of their formation in 1990.

“We’ll reveal some of the original Destiny’s Child wardrobe.

“So it would be great to consummate that with a Destiny’s Child tour, or integrate a tour into that activity.”
