On May 12, they announced that they appointed a law firm specializing in copyright to investigate the accusations. They confirmed that the accuser is not raising suspicions of plagiarism against the composers, but only against IU.

They believe that the third party, who has nothing to do with copyright, forcibly accused IU to damage the artist’s image. The agency will take strong action against IU’s reckless accusation.

EDAM Entertainment expressed their apology for causing concern to their fans and explained that they have been responding to constant plagiarism suspicions, baseless spy rumours, and sexual slander against their artists through monitoring and investigation requests for several months.

The agency stated that they will hold the accusers accountable once the investigative agency makes a quick and wise judgment on the allegations. They also reaffirmed their commitment to communicating closely with the composers and responding strongly to indiscriminate accusations.

Finally, EDAM Entertainment expressed their gratitude to their fans for their support and trust. They assured that they and their artists will continue to do their best to provide good music.
