Jamie Foxx Recovering After ‘Medical Complications’
Jamie Foxx’s family announced on Wednesday evening, that the actor had been hospitalized in Atlanta due to a medical complication.
In a statement posted on Instagram, Jamie Foxx’s oldest daughter, Corinne, posted on social media that her father had experienced a “medical complication,” but is now on the road to recovery.
The Instagram post reads, “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday.” Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.
The family thanked everyone for their prayers and requested privacy during this time. Though details of the medical emergency were not disclosed, sources told TMZ that Foxx was hospitalised on Tuesday morning and that his family travelled to be with him as his condition was serious.
Foxx, who is 55 years old, was in Atlanta filming Back in Action, a Netflix comedy that also stars Cameron Diaz, Andrew Scott, and Jamie Demetriou, and is directed by Seth Gordon.
Foxx has had a distinguished career in both film and music, including an Academy Award for Best Actor in 2005 for his performance as Ray Charles in the biopic Ray, and a Grammy Award for his single “Blame It” in 2010. He has two children, Corinne and Annalise Bishop.
This health scare comes after reports that Foxx had a “meltdown” on the set of his film, “Back in Action,” where he allegedly fired several crew members.
Despite the drama, he and co-star Cameron Diaz have been filming in the English countryside.
The exact nature of Foxx’s health issue is currently unknown, and how it may affect his work on “Back in Action”.
No comment has been made by his representative.
However, fans of the actor are surely relieved to hear that he is on the road to recovery and are sending their good wishes and thoughts to the Foxx family.
