Nigerian-born singer, Jide Kuti, is a man of mature sounds. Within the Pop/Soul scene, he is one individual that is setting the hearts of Londoners like him, as well the global musicdom, ablaze. With his recent release dubbed, Rooftop, the soulful singer has stretched his discography with yet another valiant and vibrant love rhythm.

“My quirky pop/soul sound into something that represents me as not just as an artist, but as a person. I am a fine blend of quirky lyricism, honest, soulful and charismatic vocals, catchy melodies, as well something profoundly inexplicable,” the singer described himself.

After beginning his musical sojourn at age 16, Jide Kuti has drawn influences from other vibrant UK singers, including Mahalia, Taylor Swift, Jon Bellion, Olivia Dean, Ed Sheeran, among others, ultimately creating his own vocal persona.

Perhaps, the most striking thing about Jide Kuti is his mastery of live performances. After playing at several major UK gigs such as Roundhouse Rising Festival, Camberwell Fair, Lambeth Country Show, among others, the young musician is pedalling the bar further on serving magical musical experiences.

The self-taught guitarist said that his inspirations are begotten from an innate drive to “develop music that is authentic to him in every sense.” It is this same motivation that powers his forthcoming debut EP dubbed, The Open-Heart. He described the widely anticipated project as “the culmination of his heart’s deepest desires.”

For Jide Kuti, his dreams spiral from debuting on prestigious platforms like Colors to featuring in a Disney film. Ultimately, he just wants to live his version of a better life, which is simply unearthing his creative whiz to the brim. And from all indications, he is set to hit gold.
