Justin Bieber Brings Peaches To Naija With Alpha P, Omah Lay, Masterkraft Remix

“I got my weed from Kalakuta/ Nobody come closer, closer,” the fan-favourite Justin Bieber Peaches track switches mid-way into a mash of Afro-pop rhythms, creating one of the best remixes this summer with heated vocals from Nigerian Afro-fusion singers, Alpha P and Omah Lay.

“Ogoni boys, sarowiwa/ Fire dey burn for my rizzla,” and the electric effect from Omah Lay continues breathing more life into the very iconic starter from Alpha P.

The song has no weak spots, as the Masterkraft-produced jam flushes with a perfect blend of Afro Pop and Pop itself – leaving one imagining if the American superstar, Bieber, would not be a great artiste himself as a Nigerian.

This has been a year of stellar and intentional collaborations from both local and foreign artistes, all of which have been battery-powered by the expansive and flourishing African music market.

Burna Boy, earlier this year, was a guest feature on Bieber’s latest album dubbed, Justice. Alpha P has also had an impressive run with his work on the Hollywood blockbuster, Coming 2 America – Rhythms of Zamunda project, as well as his Tiny Desk performance.

‘Peaches’ remix is available across all digital streaming platforms.
