Kanye West Slams Gap For Copying Yeezy Gap x Balenciaga Designs

Kanye West has slammed Gap for allegedly copying his designs from the Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga collection.

Ye also alleged that the fashion group left his out of crucial meetings.

Taking to Instagram, he wrote “Gap held a meeting about me without me?”

The post included screenshots of a message with someone, accusing Gap of copying his collection on a standard shirt.

In the post, he pointed out that Gap canceled a photo shoot with his kids.

“But they canceled the photo shoot with my kids in Japan without me knowing,” he added.

Since it’s release, the Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga collection has received it’s fair share of criticism.

Recall that back in August, a viral post showed the Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga collection being sold out of trash bags.

The tweet read, “This is how they are selling Yeezy GAP.”

“The sales associate said Ye got mad when he saw they had it on hangers and this is how he wanted it. They won’t help you find ur size too, you just have to just dig through everything.”

West, who has said many times that he is inspired by the homeless, defended his decision saying, “I’m an innovator, and I’m not here to sit up and apologize for my ideas. That’s exactly what the media tries to do: make us apologize for any idea that doesn’t fall under exactly the way they want us to think.”

He also clarified that the “trash bags” were actually large construction bags.

“This is not a joke, this is not a game, this is not just a celebrity collaboration … this is my life,” Ye said.

“I’m fighting for a position to be able to change clothing and bring the best design to the people,” he continued.
