Emerging Nigerian singer and songwriter Sanuade Korede, better known by his stage name Kgold Rahp, is set release his latest project.

The 21-year-old Afrobeats and trap singer revealed that he is working on a yet to be titled project. Kgold Rahp who has been honing his craft for the past three years was born in Ibadan and raised in Ila orangun Osun state.

Inspired by the likes of Adekunle Gold, Patoranking and Wande Coal, Kgold Rahp revealed he took on music professionally in 2019.

For Kgold Rahp music is his favourite medium expression. He reveals that he’s an introvert who prefers to express his mind through music.

Speaking about his creative process, Kgold Rahp, he prefers to listen to a beat first before rendering his vocals. “I compose on beats.. the beat will determine the vibe of the music I will compose,” he says.

The Nigerian music industry is a highly competitive space and can be very unwelcoming to new players in the game. Kgold Rahp details some of the challenges he has had to deal with as an emerging artist from production to promotion.

As for artistes he would love to work with someday in the industry, Kgold Rahp lists Rema, Fireboy Dml, Patoranking and Zinoleesky as his top four.
