Oluwatobiloba Daniel, better known as Kizz Daniel, is a singer and songwriter. His most recent song, “Buga,” on which Tekno appeared, has helped him reach numerous milestones.

The music video was uploaded to YouTube in the evening of June 22, 2022, and as of June 24, at 2pm, it had already received over 3.8 million views. Kizz Daniel, Tekno, and skit creator Oga Sabinus are all featured in the carnival-themed video.

Several people posted videos of themselves dancing to the song on social media, making the song an instant popularity. George Weah, the president of Liberia, and Rotimi Amaechi, a former minister of transportation, are two notable individuals who have performed a public dance to the song.

The song was also played repeatedly during the most recent All Progressives Congress presidential primary.

On May 19, 2022, the music app Shazam announced on their Twitter page that the song “Buga” has received the most Shazams worldwide. It was also the first song on Boomplay Music to reach a million streams in a single day.

Additionally, Daniel started a “dancing challenge” for the song, in which many individuals from all around the world took part. The singer then awarded some of the contestants with  N1 million cash reward.
