One of basketball’s biggest stars Lebron James is currently working on a documentary that will chronicle the life of the late rapper Nipsey Hussle.
Shot three years ago in Los Angeles at the age of 33 the documentary is to keep the musical legacy he left behind.

LeBron James disclosed that he will collaborate with Nipsey Hussle’s Marathon Films and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Company to create a film about the Los Angeles rapper.

As is customary with such documentaries, its value comes from not only telling the tale of Airmiess Joseph Asghedom Hussle’s real name but also from exhibiting rare, never-before-seen footage and conducting interviews with famous rappers of the level of Diddy and Snoop Dogg.

The intention for Lebron James is to get people inspired through the documentary.

“It’s an incredible honor for SpringHill to be able to share Nipsey’s story and legacy with the world,” James said. “He used his gift to give back to his community and lived what it means to inspire, empower and uplift others along the way.”

“His words, his ambition and his actions stay with me to this day as he continues to inspire me, our company and people around the world”, he added.

The documentary, which doesn’t yet have a name or a release date, will include executive producers in the form of both LeBron James and Maverick Carter.

“It’s an incredible responsibility to tell Nipsey Hussle’s story alongside his family and Marathon Films in a way that captures all facets of life, from his childhood to his impact on the community and culture,” Carter said. “His legacy is so much more than music. He defined activism and what it means to never forget where you came from.”
