Summer, is one of the most anticipated breaks worldwide. This is mostly a time when people take breaks and grab opportunities to do more than they would in other seasons.

The climate globally is usually quite warm, thus making about any destination habitable by everyone.

  1. Take a Road Trip: There are a good number of cities and communities just around you. Take advantage of the summer break and embark on a short trip to a nearby destination. Sight see, experience a different lifestyle and culture, and have great vibes in all.
  2. Go Picnicking: This might seem overrated but trust me, it never is. Spend a day in the sun and on a lawn with friends, catch up on old time memories, play both old and new games and have a great time. Make sure to pack enough to eat and drink while doing this.
  3. Drive-Through Movies: it’s not a popular culture here in Nigeria but, I know it’s happened once or twice in recent times [slightly big and publicized ones]. In this case, I suggest a make shift drive through movie night. It’s something a few friends can figure out together I they’re willing.
  4. Take Fun Classes: In retrospect, classes aren’t usually fun, mostly because we never really liked what we were kinda forced to learn. Now it’s your turn to choose what kind of classes you take in the summer. There’s about a short course for everything these days. Take classes in fashion; sewing or knitting, culinary; cooking or baking, writing and even spoken words classes.
  5. Have Fun in The Kitchen: Have fun in the kitchen trying to prepare your favorite meals or better still, trying out new recipes you have dreamt of.

Have fun this summer doing things you wouldn’t usually do.
