Macaulay Culkin Speaks On Relationship With Michael Jackson
Macaulay Culkin is fondly remembered as the Home Alone film star and for his relationship with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
Culkin appeared on Michael Rosenbaum’s “Inside of You” podcast for a 75-minute interview. The interview bothered on his days as a child star, his health complications, his family and his friendship with Jackson.
During the interview, host Rosenbaum noted that he was told that Jackson and Culkin became friends because Jackson was bent on protecting him.
A statement Culkin confirmed,
“He reached out to me because a lot of things were happening, big and fast with me and I think he identified with that. At the end of the day, it’s almost easy to say it was weird or whatever but it wasn’t because it made sense. At the end of the day, we were friends.”
He went on to explain that because of his fame and the difference in age, nobody in his Catholic school knew what he was going through and this is why Jackson “wanted to make sure I wasn’t alone.”
He went on to describe the late star as “charming” and “hilarious” while recalling the times they would play pranks on people.
“For me, it’s so normal and mundane. I know it’s a big deal to everyone else, but to me, it was a normal friendship,” he added.
Culkin is one of the those who have always insisted that Jackson was never sexually involved with him and was indeed, his best friend.
