Nigerian disc jockey, artiste and record producer Opeyemi Oladipupo Soidiq, known professionally as DJ OP Dot, was named DJ of the Year at the 2026 Golden Stars Awards.

The awards ceremony was held on July 25, 2026, at Watercress Hotels & Events, Ikeja, Lagos, with the event recognizing individuals and professionals across the entertainment industry.

The award adds to several recognitions received by Soidia during his career in music and entertainment. His activities have included DJ performances, music production and participation in entertainment events.

Soidiq has cited DJ Khaled, DJ Spinall and DJ Neptune among his musical influences. The DJs have established careers across different areas of contemporary music and have contributed to DJ culture and popular music.

The DJ of the Year award at the Golden Stars Awards represents another recognition of Soidiq work within Nigeria’s music and entertainment sector.
