Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has described his new album, FUJI, as a reflection of his growth, experiences, and journey through life.
In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, the singer said the project took time to come together, not just in the studio, but also through his personal experiences.
“Every lesson, every city, every version of me led to FUJI. I poured everything I’ve learned about love, faith, and freedom into it,” he wrote.
The album, released on October 3, 2025, FUJI, which stands for “Finding Uncharted Journeys Inside” captures Adekunle Gold’s story, sound, and heritage. He described the album as “my story, my sound, my heritage, and my legacy.”
Since its release, FUJI has gained massive attention and climbed to number one on Apple Music’s Top Albums chart in Nigeria, also charting in more than 50 countries including the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Canada.
Adekunle Gold expressed excitement that the world is embracing the project. “Now I’m glad the world is feeling it too. Please keep listening, keep sharing, keep making moments with it. Every post, every stream, every video helps this album reach new hearts,” he said.
The singer, known for his versatility and fusion of Afrobeats, pop, and traditional sounds, said FUJI represents his freedom and creativity. It also pays homage to the Fuji music that influenced his upbringing and artistry.
